Garrison, I am so happy that you had a great time. I went to the Salt Lake City concert this year. Last year, I attended the Louisville concert and the San Antonio concert. Each concert I purchased the everything ticket. Purple Kiss and Leo Presents do a really good job. Also, PKs English speaking skills have improved since last year and the members remembered me because I wore the same Doosan Bears uniform in each concert. I will be back again if PK returns.

While Hitchhiker's Guide and Butterfly Effect are standouts for me personally, I really just enjoy putting the album on and listening all the way through? There's just a really nice flow to it in my opinion!

SF9 is very well-known for their mature concept but Hwiyoung's solo releases highlight his youthfulness and sincerity like you said! Very interesting that he chooses to make very melodic singing-focused songs and use his light vocal tone in this way rather than rapping - I guess when you're an all-rounder 🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly, the last several months has been rough for me but this tour by PURPLE KISS re-charged my passions and drive for Kpop in general! Shoutout to Leopresents for bringing them to Canada and having such friendly staff/security! So glad to see you react to Hwiyoung's solo! Your SF9 reactions are always so good and the way you talk about their music is what keeps me coming back. The solo was announced at the start of the month, but FNC has been lackluster with promotions for SF9 for the past couple of years now, so, I get why more people aren't as aware when they release something, unfortunately. It's a shame because SF9 are really consistent with the great quality of their music. Fun fact, Hwiyoung mentioned in his live that his comeback date was decided a bit last minute, but the initial song he submitted for it was rejected, so he was on a time crunch to write a new song. He ended up writing It Is L0VE in 2 days. The whole theme of his single album is meaningful too, basically it's traveling through the sea of love in various stages. This is like the giddy stage where he's falling in love, but unsure on whether it is love. Drive5 is more angsty, leading to a breakup. HBD is the nostalgia of recalling memories after the breakup. The Beyond the Studio video just enhances my love for the song in my opinion, because we don't really get vocalist Hwiyoung in a lot of SF9 songs, and to hear his improvement over the years has been amazing. This is getting too long haha, but thank you so much again for the lovely reaction to Hwiyoung!

I love how how they don't shy away from extending the verse tag and the outro for a longer buildup. Totally hit. Many other groups just want a particular part to end and switch over as soon and as abruptly as possible.

One of my favorite parts is Chani and Youngbin doing a sort of mirror-image call and response, but the whole piece is art, and I love it! Other favorite bits besides the ones you mentioned are Zuho's singing very precisely with such a sweet lyrical voice, and the way Inseong attacks the choreo in the blue desert scene. And Taeyang, OMG. 😂👏🥰

The fantastic Yaja Time sub-unit at it again. They hit it out of the park every time. From their covers of Winner's "Really Really" and Seventeen's "Oh My" to now their cover of Riize's "Love 119". They ate this cover up. They sound so good. The screenshot on the phone is interesting. If I remember right one of the first teasers for OOTD was structured the same way but ended with 09:09 as the time, where this one ends with 03:03.

I love your analysis! One thing I really like about SF9 is that they mesh vocals and rap, it's not cut into blocks and divided among members, but there are run on lines that switch up the texture and show off different vocal colours

It's one of my favorites of theirs. I immediately thought it's a Michael Jackson vibe with funk (with hint of similarity to Married to the Music). There are a few creators who also worked on Get A Guitar. I really enjoy how RIIZE continues to bring a nostalgic and modernized, throwback vibe with their releases. I love that they continue to ride in their own lane vs. following or trying to predict trends. I also love the instrumentals in their songs, in addition to their vocals, music comp., choreo, and styling.
